As the December holiday season rolls around you’ll start hearing about a series of neighborhood gatherings, including an EACC neighborhood mixer, a small Light Up event on East Ohio Street, a Northside Chamber of Commerce party and a senior citizen spaghetti dinner held at Pressley High Rise.

Local businesses, too, offer holiday events or sales and our pubs and restaurants host celebrations for businesses and organizations.

This time of year is a celebration of our community and the spirit of giving. Volunteering to feed 100 or more seniors a Christmas dinner is a great way to give back to the community and to get to know our neighbors of all backgrounds and ages.
