The 3rd annual Fresh Fridays at the Northside Farmers Market returns every Friday, July 8th through August 26th from 4:00pm – 6:00 pm. Activities will include cooking demonstrations by local chefs, family art projects presented by neighborhood cultural institutions, and the 2011 Alcoa Environmental Series, featuring a variety of environmental organizations.
Fresh Fridays at the Northside Farmers Market is sponsored by the Charm Bracelet Project Fund through the generous support of the Grable Foundation and the Alcoa Foundation.

Chef’s Table
Local chefs will prepare a simple dish made from ingredients purchased at the Farmers Market that day. The chefs will demonstrate the preparation, and samples of the dish will be available for tasting. The recipe will be available to visitors to take home and try. Fresh Fridays “menu” includes chefs from Legends of the North Shore, E2, Big Red Room Café at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, food artist Terra Lee Mays and many more.

Fresh Fridays Family Activities
Interactive activities will be presented by cultural organizations from the Charm Bracelet Project that including Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Artists Image Resource (AIR), and the Andy Warhol Museum.

2011 Alcoa Environmental Series
Local environmental organizations including Pittsburgh Permaculture, GTECH, Green Burial Pittsburgh, Women for Healthy a Healthy Environment and more, will give demonstrations, share their mission and share how you can implement sustainable practices at home.
